DEPARTMENT OF ANAESTHESIA

Department of Anaesthesia comprises of a group of doctors dedicated to providing highest standards of care to patients coming for surgery. At present the department comprises of four Consultants. The Pain Clinic is run under the supervision of the anesthesia department and management is provided to patients with chronic pain. The department believes in meticulous work with emphasis on patient’s safety and care. The development of art and application of scientific knowledge to the administration of anesthetics has made modern surgery possible.

Anesthesiology is the direct application of physiology and pharmacology to the practice of medicine. The purposes of the Department of Anesthesiology are many. Instructions are given in administration and management of all types of general and local anesthesia for surgical procedures. Skill in resuscitation and airway management are taught.
