Hijaz Hospital over the past decade, Hijaz Hospital has established itself as a center of excellence providing comprehensive care free of cost to thousands of indigent patients. This pioneering, state-of-the-art hospital located in the heart of the Punjab was founded by Haji Inam Elahi Asar. As a charitable institution, it is funded predominantly from the donations of friends and well-wishers from around the country and across the world. The project of Hijaz Hospital was conceived by members of Anjuman Jamia Masjid Hijaz in the following persons were members of the Anjuman. Haji Inam Ilahi Asar, Mr. Salahuddin Ahmed Sahaf, Yaqoob Qureshi, Naveed Qureshi, Mian Zaka-ur-Rehman, Mir Salahuddin, Mr. Hussain Chaudary and Begum Ehsan Qadir.
He Anjuman purchased the land from the LDA and price was paid by the members of the Anjuman and the transfer letter of issued in the name of Anjuman Jamia Masjid Hijaz. With the growth and expansion of Hijaz Hospital, the Anjuman Jamia Masjid Hijaz decided to form a subsidiary body under the name of the Social Welfare Society. Hijaz Hospital is a charitable institution with the financial and moral support of honorable members of the Hijaz Social Welfare Society (Registered). Gulberg-III Lahore. The Hospital has progressed during the past 21 years from a humble start as dispensary in 1987 to a full-fledged 170-bedded hospital. It has today a five storey building, adequately equipped with latest machinery and advanced facilities including X-Ray, ultrasound, ECG, and Pathological Laboratory. Specialized services are being provided in the field of, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Medicine, Genie, ENT, Dentistry, Pediatrics, Orthopedic and Dialysis. The emergency cases are dealt round the clock. Foreign qualified and highly paid specialists are serving in the hospital.
At present fourteen specialists are on Pay Roll, Six honorary consultants of different specialties are providing free medical facilities to the poor patients. Besides specialists, a team of one hundred and thirty eight Medical and paramedical staff members is on the strength of the Hospital. 90% patients reporting to the Hospital belong to poor community and they provide total free treatment, whereas the rest is dealt at concessional rates. Special programs as a treatment of psychiatry patient have been started since last several years. All the patients are being provided free Medicines. From July 2014 to June 2015 238,883 OPD patients were provided quality healthcare facilities. whereas 8,811 patient got the treatment in the wards and 4,600 plus patients operator . As mentioned above almost 90% patient are being provided free treatment including medical, operations and Diagnostic facilities beside free diet to the ward cases. The Deficit is borne by the Hijaz Social Welfare Society with the Co-operation of philanthropist.
The hospital has 24 hours emergency services along with well equipped O.T Complex, Delivery Rooms, and a well equipped Paediatric department.
The hospital has a Dialysis Care Center and also well equipped Blood Bank.
The hospital is supported by Pharmacy services, Ambulance services and stand by generators.
